Chris Hollis | | Mental pictures offer us an opportunity to "practice new traits and attitudes, which otherwise we could not do. This is possible because again - your nervous system cannot tell the difference between an actual experience and one that is vividly imagined."

Dan Banta | | Surprised you never got more responses here. Pschyo-Cybernetics is one of the best books I've ever read. And there is so much emphasis today on visualization. The walls on my home office are filled with picture boards of places we'd like to go, things we'd like to do, objects we'd like to have...it's amazing how so many come true when you put them in your mind daily. Amruth Kumar | | Mental Pictures are put to use very effectively in NLP.
If you want to -say- handle a painful memory , you can change the mental pictures in your mind about that event/ memory and make it less painful ( or even painless!).

P.S.:My copy of Psycho-cybernetics ( the first book on the Mind I bought over 20 years ago)was borrowed by a friend & never returned back! Private Reply to Amruth Kumar |
